Tell me about a sermon that you may have heard and never forgot or maybe even a sermon title that you will always remember.

I was getting dressed for work this morning and the title of a sermon I had never heard fell in my spirit. I found it on youtube and listened while driving in to work this morning and it really answered a lot of questions

Also a sermon in which Brother Zac Poonen said the following words: if you tell your son to sit down, and he actually does, but then tells you that in his heart, he is still standing up. Then you have a real problem. That's what the Christian life is all about: obeying in your heart, not just in outward appearance.

Hello ladies, two of mine are below:

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say they changed my life for the better.

    God bless.

A few years ago Joel Osteen preached a sermon called A No- Stick Anointing. I found a transcript of that sermon, printed it out and referred back to it many times.

Two more sermons that I know will stick with me are the latest two sermons my pastor has preached. Colossians 3:18-20. Its about husbands and wives and has really given me a fresh perspective on my role as a wife and homemaker and the role of the husband. For example, part of the husband's role is to till the ground.

Care to elaborate on this? It sounds very interesting.

Another Word that has stayed with me, comes from Voddie Baucham: he said that when we watch the news, we often have this haughty attitude, thinking the people who murder and rape are different from us. But they are not, the only thing keeping us from committing such things, is God's grace.

    Sure.

Think of the word husbandry. Husbandry means to care, cultivate or manage. So, the husband acts as a farmer so to speak. He tills the ground and keeps the debris away. He waters the marriage with the word of God. Because he is the head, he is also responsible for the outcome of the marriage. Of course, things happen and the wife also shares in that responsibility, but overall....as the manager, the husband takes responsibility for the outcome of the marriage.
