Teaching tugs at my heart strings daily. Just read a girl's reflection and she said she wants to do the project assigned, but they can't afford the supplies right now (posterboard). And I believe her, based on her character. Making a mental note to subtly slip her a $5 tomorrow during class.

I made it to the end of parent-teacher conference week! It was great to meet parents and to get everyone on board. I didn't schedule any conference tomorrow and I plan to be in my car by 1:38 p.m....

    Sooooo
You know your child reads and comprehends at around a 4/5 grade level and you’re still upset that I graciously gave a 60?

A “rogue” teacher is being punished by being made to teach my students.

Thanks a lot admin. Glad to see how much you care about my kids

    My principal is tripping.

How do you meet expectations when the expectations keep changing?

Thanks girl! Still love my job. It’s similar to teaching and I’m so at ease with doing it. Right now I am finding it super easy and rewarding. I had parent teacher night recently and all the parents love me!

Oh you just don’t. Just keep on racking up those Developing ratings while documenting each and every single stinking interaction.

Another adjunct position....this time at a 4 year university.

I'm getting out of K-12 education slowly but surely.

Sweet. How do you get into a program like this?

I was looking into getting into early intervention.

so there's an uptick in kids stealing cell phones lately and all i want to do is laugh at the parents and students when they come crying to us about their phones. it serves them right, guess you gonna have to stay off your stupid lil social media for a while :angeldevil:
    facts:
    a) we told y'all to leave them in your assigned locker, which has a combination lock
    b) we told y'all to stop sharing your locker combinations with each other
    c) we told y'all stop sharing lockers with each other

so now what?? you mad at who? be mad at your child for not following those basic guidelines. i just died at the secretary delivering a subtle but effective read to a parent trying to turn up about her child's new phone being stolen.

Same. You will not be sorry ladies. Moving out of the classroom was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life.
