Has anyone read the book and/or planning on doing the plan? Its very different than the fast.
Of course you activated my curiosity... so, I 'googled' it.
For others who are curious, here's the website with information:
The Daniel Plan is a groundbreaking, healthy lifestyle program where people get better together. With love as the motivation, it’s a story of abundance, not deprivation. Relying on God’s power and the support and encouragement of friends, get ready to be transformed from the inside out.
explosiva9, thank you for sharing this with us.
What are your thoughts on the book? I plan to begin reading this evening. Some women in my church expressed interest in studying as a small group.
Okay, although I don't have the book, I just signed up here:
So far it just seems like a great support group for a life change inside and out. I'll keep track here as to how it goes and if there are any spiritual discrepancies, I'll just share.
At this point, I don't see anything to question about it, but I won't know unless I start the program.
I'll post here at least once a week, if that's okay with our OP.
Here's my Intro Welcome to the Daniel Plan:
Dear Daniel Plan Participant,

Each week you will receive an email with inspiration and health news that will support you in your journey to better health. We will introduce you to The Five Essentials; Faith, Food, Fitness, Friends and Focus and teach you how to weave life-giving principles into your daily life.
Check out our Top Foods List and The Daniel Plan Plate to begin.
We also have some additional food, fitness and focus tips for you to Get Started Now!
Now that you have completed your Health Profile, we encourage you to fill out your Extended Health Profile where you can track your progress on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. We have found that people achieve accelerated results when they experience early wins!
Most importantly, remember you are not alone. We invite you to join us on your favorite social media sites to receive daily encouragement and connect with The Daniel Plan community. Please e-mail your stories to [email protected].
We are always better together!

Here's the Study Guide:
I will purchase the book and also make a contribution. This seems to be worthwhile. I'm still reading through the website, but so far nothing appears outside of scripture.
I just shared this information with my daughter and I'll send this to my Pastor as well. The Purpose Filled Life by Rick Warren was one of our Bible Studies a few years ago.
I'll share more as I read more.
Shimmie I'm not on this particular fast but I hope that you will post the daily devotionals...I believe that it will be a blessing for all!!
I'm trying not to take over our OP's thread... :blush3: If it's okay with explosiva9, then I'll will do so. I signed up to help answer some of the questions that were asked. I'm a volunteer experiment.
I never would have known about "The Daniel Plan" without her posting this thread.
Thank you explosiva9
Thanks everyone. I'm glad everyone who's posted is excited about it. Last Sunday they had their first rally and it was very informational for me. I don't have anyone who's willing to do it with me so I've decided to post and see if anyone was willing to hang with me on LHCF.
Shimmie, I'm totally ok with you posting. Your posts in this forum have been very inspirational and educational so I'm looking forward to them along with everyone else.
I haven't finished the book yet but have already begun to make the changes and hope to start the 10 day detox this Fri.
Let me know if you're interested in starting a small group here.
Thank you for the invite. I would love to join you with this. I still have to order the book this week. The bad weather put a lot of plans on hold here. Please let me know how to follow through with you. I'm looking forward to this.
I sent you a pm.
This is great...
